We are looking on behalf of our client for a full-time experienced Application tester to reinforce the testing team in charge of the manual testing of the application in General Health and Food Safety.

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Working Conditions: hybrid, 2 days onsite and 3 days remote

Rate: 300 €/day , with a B2B contract

The application exists to ensure further transparency of the risk assessment in the food chain, to increase the independence of the studies submitted, strengthen the governance and scientific cooperation and develop comprehensive risk communication.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse user’s stories and/or use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
• Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies
• Record and document results and compare them to expected results
• Provide timely solutions
• Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle
• Provide an updated test documentation

Knowledge and skills:

• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Flexibility
• Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence and Zephyrs)
• Able to work in an international environment.
• Experience in the food safety sector is a plus

Requirements:

• Experience with large-scale J2EE deployment and operational support.
• Cloud experience, preferably in Azure environments.
• Understanding of Docker and application containers.
• Good knowledge of SOA Architecture and Web services (SOAP and REST).
• Experience with SoapUI and free API test tool.
• SSL certificate management knowledge is nice to have (key tool, OpenSSL).
• Knowledge of SQL.
• ITIL foundation certification.

Languages:

• English (C1) is mandatory – Oral/Written
• Any other European Language: nice to have.
