We are looking for a Java Application Architect – DG AGRI, European Commission – Location: Brussels, Belgium (on-site)-EUIN178

This Commission department is responsible for EU policy on agriculture and rural development and deals with all aspects of the common agricultural policy.

Nature of Tasks:

  • Analysis of the integration of different information systems
  • Data analysis and data modeling
  • Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture.
  • Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers.
  • Production of software architecture documents
  • Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings, and meetings with the users
  • Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation, and reporting
  • Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture
  • Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing systems into the cloud
  • Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.
  • Requirements

Must Have’s:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT
  • At least 7 years of experience with Java (min. competence level 5)
  • At least 6 years of experience with each of the following technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (min. competence level 4)
  • At least 4 years of experience with Angular (any version) (min. competence level 3);
  • At least 6 years of experience with REST-based web services (min. competence level 4)
  • At least 7 years of experience with each of the following technologies: Spring, JPA (or Hibernate), SQL (min. competence level 4)
