Our client is looking for a Scrum Product Owner- NB10 to join our team in our HQ in Athens.

Our client is an established GameTech company operating in Europe and LATAM (Greece, Brazil, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Chile, Ecuador), with tech hubs in Greece & Malta and over 650 employees across countries.

Since 2010, the company is committed to delivering the best online sports betting and online entertainment experience to our ever-expanding customer base. Licensed and regulated by HGC, MGA, ADM, and Irish Revenue Commissioners.

They have their own proprietary platform which is a living organism of 150 + microservices and applications, most of them highly available. Microservices’ stack is .net core, SQLserver, rabbitMQ as a message broker, and Redis for caching. Also use the elk stack for logging, Kafka for event streaming, and MongoDB.

Nature of Tasks:

  • Manage a product development team as the scrum product owner
  • Work with product and business stakeholders to create and maintain the product development roadmap
  • Work with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement
  • Work with solution architects and business analysts on the analysis and the technical feasibility of projects
  • Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
  • Manage the backlog and facilitate sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Assist the development team throughout the sprints and facilitate their ceremonies
  • Mitigate any impediments impacting the release and sprint goals
  • Map out project dependencies to inform the necessary sequence of development
  • Ensure that the team is aligned with strategies implemented across the tech organization
  • Responsible and Accountable for high-quality deliverables on the platform
  • Collaborate with global commercial services partners to co-develop a roadmap and drive products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment
  • Work in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
  • Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders
  • Understand, Acknowledge, and Distribute the sense of urgency within the team
  • Be the primary communication and link between stakeholders and teams

Requirements

Must Have’s:

  • BSc/MSc degree in relevant Information Technology subject
  • At least 3 years of product development or project management experience, ideally within the FinTech or Payment Solutions industry sectors
  • Experience running medium to large/complex projects with multiple dependencies using Agile (Scrum) processes in planning, implementation, and support of business application components, including change & release management
  • PMP or Prince II or Scrum certification is desirable
  • Team management experience is desirable
  • A sufficient level of technical background in software development will be considered a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with stakeholders and leadership, that allow understanding of product strategy and anticipating needs
  • Time management skills
  • English language (both verbal and written)
  • Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement
