We are looking for a Project Manager with hands-on Python development skills to join a team in the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA)

The activities will be performed remotely and on-site presence in Paris is requested at least 3 days per month.

Responsibilities:

Service 1 – Project Management to support projects in the areas of:

  • ESMA corporate IT services (IT services for HR, Finance and procurement, Building and logistics, IT)
  • End user’s work optimization and management
  • Microsoft 365 suite (e.g. projects using SharePoint, MS power platform, etc.)
  • This would include coordination of ESMA internal resources and/or external stakeholders.

Deliverables:

  • Project Planning and execution
  • Task allocation in the tracking tool
  • Releases of the project
  • Steering committees
  • Project review

Service 2 – Creation and maintenance of reports automatically updated:

  • Power BI reports
  • Automatic refresh of data
  • Data mining and transformation
  • Usage of ESMA-approved tools, e.g.:
  • MS Power platform
  • Azure functions
  • Azure dev’ops
  • Azure key vault
  • Connections to internal and external data sources, e.g:

Deliverables – Where applicable:

  • Tasks completed in the tracking tool
  • Full documentation, including, Functional and non-functional requirements,  Architecture, User guides, Technical guides for usage and maintenance
  • Proof of concept
  • Tools delivered and maintained of Source code
  • Ad-hoc reports

Service 3 – Creation and maintenance of tools for tasks automation for the team and its clients:

  • Usage of ESMA-approved tools
  • MS Power platform
  • Azure functions
  • Azure dev-ops
  • Azure key vault

Deliverables – Where applicable:

  • Functional and non-functional requirements
  • Architecture
  • User guides
  • Technical guides for usage and maintenance
  • Proof of concept
  • Tools delivered and maintained
  • Source code
  • Ad-hoc reports

Availability:

  • Attend meetings and calls
  • Availability through ESMA communication tools e.g.:
  • MS Teams
  • Email
  • Presence onsite when required

We are not looking for a “team” or “company” to take on this project but rather an individual and independent contributor. 

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Experience coding with Python
  • Experience with Jira
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Excellent experience with Azure
  • Fluent English
  • EU National

Benefits

  • Location: Paris(Hybrid) 3 days per month onsite and the rest remotely
  • Annual Contract: 200+ Man Days per year with renewals
  • Daily Rate: 425eur/day gross on a self-employed or B2B contract
