We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer hybrid once a month to Berlin or Lisbon with employment or contract for our customer, a global leader in delivering secure enterprise video solutions, revolutionizing how companies utilize video. Their cloud-based platform centralizes video management and streaming, ensuring the highest quality experience for customers, partners, and employees on any device.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
  • Modify and enhance existing systems for improved performance and efficiency.
  • Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
  • Maintain cloud solutions following best practices and industry standards.
  • Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions, adhering to company security policies and cloud security best practices.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  • Regularly review existing systems and recommend improvements.
  • Provide cloud support to software engineering teams and make recommendations based on their needs.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24×7 platform support.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cloud computing, with a proven track record of using Azure as the main cloud provider.
  • Familiarity with Terraform, GitOps, and Everything-as-Code principles.
  • Experience with SysOps.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security methods and system hardening.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CI/CD systems.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions, such as NewRelic.
  • Azure, AWS, or GCP certifications
