Requirements

  • 7–8+ years of professional experience with Core Java and Spring frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented principles, data structures, and Java collections
  • Expert in building REST APIs
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases and strong SQL skills
  • Proficient in debugging and analyzing application logs
  • Familiar with version control systems like Bitbucket or GitLab
  • Experience working with microservices architecture (experience with NoSQL is a plus)
  • Familiarity with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) is a plus
  • Agile/Scrum project experience (Jira, story management, sprint planning)
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage engineering tasks proactively

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java/Spring-based applications
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs for high-availability enterprise solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to define, design, and ship new features
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues through detailed analysis of logs and data
  • Work within a microservices architecture, ensuring secure, modular, and maintainable code
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and code reviews to promote best practices
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers (as needed) while also acting as an individual contributor
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and automated testing frameworks
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and proactively propose improvements to enhance product stability and performance
