The company is a leader in the pharmaceutical segment with head office in Israel.

It involves implementing consistent, industry-standard business processes supported by integrated systems (SAP-based enterprise solutions) worldwide. This large-scale, global program will be implemented in the coming years in over 60 countries and 70 plants.

This position is for a DataStage developer, within the Customer’s Integration MW team (ICC) in the Cross Application Delivery unit. You will develop technical solutions for functional requirements, providing quality implementation of Middleware requirements. In addition, occasionally provided support for production interfaces by analysing and troubleshooting the issues and communicating the analysis to SME’s, Technical Leads, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

DataStage Developer responsibilities include the following in the Middleware Interfaces area:

  • Review and hands-on implement technical and functional designs into technical solutions.
  • Develop functional requirements for new releases and production maintenance changes.
  • Review and approve functional designs, from a technical perspective.
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the return on IT and Business investments.
  • Hands-on development, support, and troubleshooting of DataStage interfaces
  • Work according to ICC methodologies.
  • Provide follow-up on all issues and solutions.
  • Ensuring delivery and support timelines are met to quality and budget
  • Work closely with IT business, support, MW, SAP, and boundary system development teams
  • Occasionally provide support for production interfaces.
  • Other projects and duties as required/assigned.

Education and Professional Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in DataStage is required
  • Strong ETL DataStage development skills in both serial and Parallel editions
  • Experience with all phases of an implementation including design, build, configuration, testing, and support
  • Strong SQL and analytical logic to build and develop efficient SQL queries
  • Experience with APIs
  • Experience with Shell scripting
  • Experience with the development of complex mappings against IDOC and RFC structures
  • Experience in maintenance and support of production ETL processes is a plus.
  • Experience with UC4/ SPLUNK/ MFT /IBM/ DataPower/ RDA a plus
