As a Tableau visualization specialist, you will create interactive and visually compelling Tableau dashboards that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions.

Leveraging your expertise, you will collaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other team members to understand requirements and transform raw data into insightful reports.

Your deep understanding of data visualization best practices and user experience will be essential in enhancing the value of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand data sources, and ensure data accuracy for reporting.
  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Tableau dashboards and reports effectively.
  • Communicate complex data insights to various stakeholders.
  • Implement best practices for data visualization, ensuring optimal user experience and accessibility for a diverse audience.
  • Create custom calculations, parameters, and scripting to support dynamic filtering, sorting, and user interactions within dashboards.
  • Optimize the performance of Tableau dashboards through efficient data blending, aggregation, and dashboard design techniques.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior Tableau developers, sharing your expertise and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features, enhancements, and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovative solutions.
  • Participate in regular reviews and feedback sessions to iterate on dashboard designs and enhance usability.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to Tableau dashboards as needed.
  • Perform license allocation to users via approved ServiceNow ticket submissions
  • Provide monitoring and production support by responding to server and report issues
  • Independently manage multiple projects and priorities with confidence and attention to detail
  • Communicate issues, risks, and concerns proactively to management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 7+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of proven experience in developing complex Tableau dashboards and reports.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server, including advanced calculations, parameter controls, and custom scripting.
  • Strong SQL skills for data manipulation, aggregation, and optimization.
  • Relevant Tableau certifications (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Desktop Certified Professional) are desirable.

Skills and Capabilities

  • Solid understanding of data visualization best practices, user experience design, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience in data preparation and data cleansing techniques to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modelling is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in project estimation and planning.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, ability to be flexible, set priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Effective decision-making and critical thinking skills.
  • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience and knowledge are a plus.

 Shift Requirement

  • Working a local mid-shift which will be available until Noon or 1:00 PM in USA East Coast Time Zone (08:00 PM EET)

Flex Requirements

  • Willing to work US hours on an as-needed basis for critical meetings.
