Responsibilities:

• Serves as the liaison between Infrastructure and the Business regarding the implementation and maintenance of the company’s server systems while maintaining strong relationships
• Maintains the operational health of the systems infrastructure and supports Applications and Users which are dependent upon the company’s infrastructure
• Monitors log files, performance issues and the production environment for mission critical systems
• Responsible for providing technical support for the Unix Server Infrastructure including day to day administration of Servers systems, incident response and remediation, as well as implementation of new technologies. It is extremely important to the company that production server and storage systems offer the highest reliability and performance possible
• Drive standards and document reference architecture based on requirements from business, application development and operations to help achieve a state-of-the-art environment that meets current and future business objectives
• Develop a security scheme for the Server and Storage environment, as well as assisting in disaster recovery if necessary
• Provide technical support and operations during the design, development and implementation of applications
• Work with the infrastructure support area to develop both the physical and the logical Server and Storage administration functions and assists in the development of our computing environments
• Work with others in IT to build the logical Compute and Storage area and provide technical guidance during all phases of the development process

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience  in Financial Sector is a plus

• Rate- 280 GBP/DAY
