We are looking for a Mid-Level Databricks & Azure Platform Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Azure Databricks administration and development, along with solid knowledge of the Azure cloud platform.

The ideal candidate should have end-to-end visibility of Databricks workspace operations, including cluster setup, governance using Unity Catalog, monitoring (alerts/dashboards), and emerging features like Genie Spaces. The role also requires good working knowledge of key Azure services and integration components such as Storage Accounts, Key vaults, Azure SQL DB, ADF Self-Hosted IRs etc.

Primary purpose and function of this position:

Azure Databricks Administration & Development

  • User and group management
  • Permissions and access control
  • Workspace organization and governance
  • Job, All-purpose and High-concurrency cluster setup
  • Cluster performance, cost and lifecycle optimization

Unity Catalog & Governance

  • Manage Unity Catalog for governance
  • Define catalogs, schemas, tables
  • RBAC and data security policies
  • Ensure compliance and lineage practices

Monitoring & Alerts

  • Configure alerts for jobs and clusters
  • Build dashboards and reports
  • Troubleshoot failures using logs

Genie Spaces & Features

  • Manage Genie Spaces
  • Monitor usage and governance
  • Stay updated with platform changes

Azure Platform Expertise

  • Storage Accounts, Key Vaults
  • Web Apps, Function Apps
  • Event Hubs, ADF, Azure SQL DB

ADF & Integration

  • Manage ADF pipelines
  • Self-hosted IR setup and troubleshooting

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience
  • Strong Azure Databricks experience
  • Unity Catalog, clusters, monitoring
  • Azure ecosystem knowledge
  • SQL and Python
