We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle ERP Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in managing and maintaining Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2+ environments, with a strong background in ASM (Automatic Storage Management)RAC (Real Application Clusters)Linux environmentsRMAN (Recovery Manager), and patch management. This role requires proactive problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to ensure system stability, high availability, and performance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oracle ERP Administration:
    • Install, configure, and manage Oracle E-Business Suite 11i,R12.1 and R12.2+ environments.
    • Perform upgrades, cloning, and patching of EBS environments, including Online Patching (ADOP and FS_CLONE).
    • Monitor and ensure the availability, performance, and security of ERP systems.
    • Administer and Patching of Weblogic , APEX and Oracle SSO systems
    •  
  1. Database Management:
    • Administer Oracle Databases with versions 11g,12c and 19c, including clone,setup, configuration, and maintenance.
    • Implement and manage ASM and RAC for high availability and scalability.
    • Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Standby Database (DataGuard).
    • Optimize database performance, including SQL tuning and diagnostics.
  1. System Maintenance & Patching:
    • Plan and execute system upgrades, patch management, and regular maintenance tasks.
    • Apply quarterly security patches and critical updates to ensure compliance and security.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize downtime during scheduled maintenance.
  1. Linux System Administration:
    • Perform basic Linux server management ( versions 6 till 8) , including troubleshooting and BASH scripting.
    • Ensure ERP environments are tuned for optimal performance on Linux platforms.
    • Knowledge with implementing and configurations EBS Oracle with SHARED APPL_TOP
  1. Disaster Recovery and High Availability:
    • Design and implement robust disaster recovery solutions.
    • Manage failover testing for RAC and other high-availability configurations.
  2. Collaboration and Documentation:
    • Work closely with application teams, developers, and business users to resolve issues.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
    • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior DBAs – MUST !!!

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Oracle DBA roles with strong exposure to ERP systems.
  • Expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2+, including Online Patching (ADOP).
  • In-depth knowledge of ASMRAC, and RMAN.
  • Proficiency in Linux server administration and shell scripting.
  • Experience with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and SQL optimization.
  • Familiarity with NON-Oracle databases is a plus ( SQL Server or PostgreSQL )
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Database Administration or E-Business Suite (1,2,3)
  • Upgrade R12.2 from R12.1 with Database 19c (CDB/PDB)
  • Java and Apex Upgrades for Windows 11
  • Experience in managing hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic and middleware administration.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time, remote only
  • Availability for on-call support during critical system events or scheduled maintenance.
