We are seeking a Design Team Lead to head one of our multidisciplinary design teams and shape digital experiences for a global CPG brand. This is an ideal role for someone who combines product and design thinking, business objectives, and user empathy – someone who can connect creative vision with measurable impact.
Responsibilities:
- Help steer the product direction by collaborating on defining goals, user journeys, and feature priorities that connect user needs with business objectives.
- Help bridge between strategy, design, and delivery: Translate insights into potential roadmaps and ensure design execution aligns with the product vision.
- Lead a small cross-functional team of 3 designers, providing guidance, structure, and mentorship while fostering a creative, collaborative environment.
- Partner with clients and stakeholders to understand their business context, challenges, and KPIs, and turn that into a clear product strategy.
- Collaborate with R&D, QA, and Data teams to plan, test, and optimize features based on real user behavior and feedback.
- Develop and present ideas and concepts, whether to clients, leadership, or internal teams.
- Manage timelines, scope, and expectations, ensuring that the product evolves smoothly while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Bring structure to complexity – balancing near-term delivery with a long-term product vision.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in digital product environments – ideally within a leading agency, design consultancy, or product organization. CPG experience is a big plus.
- Proven experience owning and driving product initiatives from strategy through ideation, launch, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- A strong grasp of user-centered design, analytics, and business fundamentals – Comfortable discussing product metrics and how user journeys impact them.
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute growth strategies, including user acquisition, engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Understanding of product marketing and go-to-market dynamics, and how positioning, messaging, and brand experience connect to product decisions.
- Experience scaling products for global markets, managing localization, market nuances, and diverse user behaviors.
- A deep UX foundation – Clear perspective on how structure, interaction, and usability drive adoption and loyalty (experience as a UX designer preferred, but not a must).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence in leading client-facing discussions and building trusted relationships.
- Experience managing and mentoring small teams, fostering professional growth while maintaining quality and consistency.
- A portfolio or case studies demonstrating strategic product thinking and measurable impact, beyond visual design.
- Familiarity with modern product and design tools and collaboration platforms.
- Experience in one or more of the following: Loyalty programs, e-commerce platforms, integrated gamification, or large-scale consumer apps.
